Frank Zappa

Frank Vincent Zappa, nasceu em 21 de dezembro de 1940 em Baltimore, foi um compositor, guitarrista, produtor de gravação e diretor de cinema. Com uma carreira de mais de trinta anos se estendeu desde o rock até o jazz, produziu cerca de 60 álbuns com sua banda Mothers of Invention.

Desde sua adoscelência ele mostrava sua geniliadade, Zappa admitiu que apenas depois de ouvir o disco do Ionization do compositor erudito Edgar Varese passou a ter interesse por ser compositor e músico. Durante a faculdade ele atuou como tocador de bumbo da banda oficial do time de futebol americano da universidade, porém, foi expulso ao ser pego fumando com o uniforme da banda.

Depois da faculdade, na década de 50, casou-se e acabou por trabalhar em uma firma de cartões, por motivo de tamanha frustração do trabalho e de seu casamento, ele se divorcia. E acaba comprando uma guitarra e um estúdio que batiza de Studio Z. Para conseguir se manter ele tocava em algumas bandas de fim de semana, a banda com mais consistência e que ele permaneceu por volta de 4 anos, foi a banda The Blackouts.

Zappa passou por um episódio um tanto quanto em engraçado em sua vida, recebe um pedido de uma gravação com insinuações sexuais para alegrar uma festa.

Contou com a ajuda de uma amiga com o apelido de "Suzy Creamchesse", os dois fizeram alguns barulhos com um colchão de mola e deram gemidos, após terminarem, Zappa foi ao encontro do suposto cliente para receber a quantia financeira combinada e o homem era um policial disfarçado e ele foi preso por material pornográfico.

É indiscutível que Zappa teve altos e baixos em sua carreira, porém, é notável a sua genialidade e sua afinidade com a música e o talento de sempre inovar e não se manter e se focar em apenas um objetivo, ele produziu de tudo um pouco, foi um magnífico artista, nimguém jamais poderia definir a música que ele fez em uma só porque é como se ele tivesse juntado um pouco de cada estilo e desenvolvido o seu próprio estilo e é isso que o faz único.

Frank Zappa veio a falecer em decorrência de um câncer de próstata no dia 4 de dezembro de 1993 em sua residência em Canoga Park, Califórnia.

A familia Zappa funda The Zappa Family Truste que cuida de tudo que o artista deixou e periodicamente lança um CD novo.
